Dreams don’t sleep.
Presented from 4 to 7 October 2018, this is the third creation from the Giant Saga in Liverpool. It is the final act of the "Giant Spectacular" trilogy.
The City of Liverpool and the Wirral Peninsula, supported by The Liverpool City Region Combined Authority and Arts Council England, hosted the Giants as part of the Liverpool 2018 programme, which celebrates the 10th anniversary of Liverpool's nomination as European Capital of Culture - 1.3 million spectators.
Like a tree on the moon the Giant, lying on a raft has stranded on the beach of New Brighton.
Who knows on what ship he has taken off his diving suit, what storms he has suffered from and what currents have pushed him towards Liverpool.
The fact remains that the Little Girl Giant has appointed her brother, the Little Boy Giant, to go to see him. He has settled in St George’s Hall.
Besides the City has organized a fancy dress ball in his honour. Even if thunder wanted to crush the city, sewn clouds are protecting the sky.
The heart of the inhabitants radiates so strongly that we can hear the beats echoing over to Dublin.
Careful, the dreams of the Giants alight in Liverpool!
The new images: the Giant sandal (suspended, floating, football goal), the raft of the Giant, the truck filled with violins, the fancy dress ball and the Little Boy Giant asleep in Saint George’s Hall, the new costume of the Little Boy Giant, the laundry line with the clothes of the Little Girl Giant, the piano catapult, the bus cut in half, the fork in the car.

For the first time in the history of the saga of the Giant, 4 characters were present during the show: the Giant, the Little Boy Giant, the Xolo and the Little Girl Giant, appeared by surprise on the last day.

« The excitement is palpable. The crowd gasped as The Giant jumped high above us over a washing line and cheered as his huge feet touched down. Yellow Submarine rang out across the city centre as onlookers joined the Little Boy Giant in belting out The Beatles classic. »
« Tens of thousands of people converged on the city of Liverpool yesterday for the penultimate day of the Giants. In unprecedented scenes, The Strand turned into a human sea of expectant faces as crowds converged along the waterfront to witness all three marionettes together for the first time during this visit. »
« In a move which had the crowd gasping with delight, the Little Girl Giant made an unexpected return to the city streets, having established herself as a firm favorite in the Giants’ previous visits in 2012 and 2014. »
