So here is my car’s sister which I found at the back of a lost school as I was camping in the middle of bamboos in Timbuktu! There was a sand dune, a hill in the desert: a huge stopped wave, immobile near the Niger river. And upon it: planted bamboos placed like hair standing straight on the head of a giant. Surprised I parked in the middle and I saw very tiny tables and chairs half buried in the sand! There were 200 or 300 aligned, tidy without anyone on them. They were turned toward a larger table (probably that of the teacher) of which I could see only a part, half sunk and hidden by the bamboos. And behind still… A schoolboard car! The same as mine, except it was not red, but a black-green schoolboard colour with chalk sticks on the ground. When I wanted to draw on it I saw about twenty alligators coming out of the sand and monkeys jumping from the bamboos to stand on the back of the crocodiles and run off into the desert. Then, my car started on its own, it parked in front of the schoolboard car and I had the impression that they were quietly falling asleep. On the next day when I left it followed us on its own and was showing us the way which it knew like the back of its hand. Monsieur Bourgogne.
